A: Mirrored Memories is a division of Alternate Innertainment, LLC. We are a local company comprised of an expansive creative collective of videographers, designers, composers, and web developers among other artists. Everyone in our collective demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and proficient creative skill in their respective discipline. We custom assemble every team to serve your specific needs.
Q: Can we meet to discus the details prior to the event?
A: Absolutely, we can meet in person or conference call at a mutually convenient time. We highly recommended a planning session so we can customize the style and feel of the project to meet your specific expectations and desires. Consultation is free.
Q: What type of equipment will be used to produce my project?
A: We utilize high-end 3-CCD digital video cameras because of their non-obtrusive nature, superb video quality, color, and low light level conditions. We capture the audio with a combination of wireless and/or shotgun microphones. We may use a lighting kit depending on the shooting conditions. For editing we utilize high-end nonlinear computer systems.
Q: May I put together a custom package.
A: Yes, we offer many of our services a la cart and publish our prices (when applicable) to make this as easy as possible. If you want something specific that we have not included on our website we would be glad to negotiate a reasonable price. Please contact a representative for more details.
Q: Why are your prices so low?
A: We offer competitive prices because we have developed an effective business system and maintain a low overhead. Furthermore we subcontract to our creative collective on a sliding rate scale based of the level of expense required for your particular project.
Q: How long does it take to edit the video?
A: Editing is a very time consuming process which largely depends on the amount of source footage and the style of editing. Therefore, please allow up to 90 days after we capture and receive all the media to put it together. To assure you the quickest possible turn-around please provide the music and any other media in timely matter.
Q: May I request a faster turn-around?
A: Yes, we have several options available for prompt service, which are subject to reasonable fees. Please contact a representative for more details.
Q: May I obtain the source footage after the production.
A: Yes, you may purchase the DV tapes for personal usage for $15 a tape.
Q: May I use our favorite music for the project?
A: That’s a difficult question. For copyright compliance we cannot provide copyrighted music and it shall be noted we make no profit as a direct use of copyrighted audio recordings. Mirrored Memories can however compose our own music, or we can license royalty free music from the public domain or creative commons. You may also, at your own risk, supply music if you agree to release Mirrored Memories and it’s subsidiaries from legal action as a result of unauthorized duplication of audio recordings, and hold yourself responsible for such actions if legal repercussions were to occur.
Q: What formats do you delver the project in?
A: The preferred format is DVD-R. (NTSC picture standard) We can also accommodate VHS and Video CD. In addition we can compress your video for web usage and host it on our server with your custom built website. We can also compress you video to podcasts formats. If you are sending a copy over seas and need conversion into PAL picture standard please contact our representative for arrangements.
Q: Can you make a website for our family, team, event or company?
A: Yes, that is one of our specialties; we can refer you to our web design department for more details. We also do graphic design, marketing, and apparel.
Q: Do you produce music videos, PSAs, commercials or larger scale projects?
A: Yes, Alternate Innertainment, LCC has a professional video production division that handles high profile projects. Please contact a representative for more details.
Q: Do you do photography or book bands ands DJ’s.
A: At this time are primary focus is on Videography however we can make recommendations if we know anyone who can fulfill your need.
Q: How does your payment plan work?
A: We require any project under $500 be paid prior to production. For projects over $500, a 15% retainer is required to secure the date. This is payable at the time of booking and considered part of the overall project balance. Half of the remaining balance is to be paid by the date of videotaping. The remaining balance is due before we distribute the video. The balance may also be paid outright if you prefer.
Q: What are your methods of payment?
A: We process all major credit cards through papal. We also accept cash, check, and money orders. Please make checks payable to Mirrored Memories.
Q: Are you hiring?
A: Yes, we primarily work with subcontracts and encourage you to send your resume. Training and equipment is available though our internship program however client projects and paying gigs are for people with proficient skill and equipment.
